Setting up your Jira integration
When setting up an integration between Productboard and Jira you may want to configure the integration to a single Jira project or multiple Jira projects. This article will discuss how to successfully configure the integration between Productboard and Jira.
For more information, see the article Setting up your Jira integration.
Configuring Jira integration settings
Once you have set up your integration, it’s time to configure the integration’s settings to make it serve your workflow.
For more information, see the article Configuring Jira integration settings.
Configuring multiple Jira integrations (Pro+ plans)
You may wish to create multiple integrations between Jira and Productboard, whether you're linking multiple Jira projects to Productboard, or you're linking the same Jira project to Productboard multiple times.
Note: Starter and Essentials plan customers have access to 1 Jira integration. Pro plan customers have access to 5 Jira integrations. Enterprise and Enterprise Plus plan customers have access to unlimited Jira integrations.
For more information, see Configuring multiple Jira integrations.
Managing Jira integrations
After setting up the Productboard and Jira integration, a maker+admin will have access to manage the integration. They can rename, reauthorize, disable or remove the integration from your Productboard workspace.
For more information, see the article Managing Jira integrations.
Mapping fields between Jira and Productboard
Our integration gives you maximum control and flexibility over the way you sync data between Jira and Productboard. Map standard and custom fields in the configurations that best serve your team’s needs.
For more information, see the article Mapping fields between Jira and Productboard
Pushing features and subfeatures into Jira
Once the Jira integration is enabled, maker+admins and makers can push features and subfeatures into Jira. You can push a Productboard feature into Jira as new by clicking Push or linking a Productboard feature to an existing issue in Jira.
For more information, see the article Pushing features and subfeatures into Jira
Linking or unlinking Productboard features and subfeatures to existing issues in Jira
When pushing a feature or subfeature into Jira, you can link it to an existing issue in Jira. If you accidentally push a feature to the wrong Jira issue, you can unlink it from your Jira issue. This removes the Productboard URL and allows you to relink that Jira issue to a different Productboard feature or subfeature.
For more information, see the article Linking or unlinking Productboard features or subfeatures to an existing issue in Jira
Importing Jira issues into Productboard
When using the Productboard and Jira integration, you can import Jira issues into Productboard. This can be done as a one-time import or by automatic imports whenever certain criteria are met.
For more information, see the article Importing Jira issues into Productboard
Pushing a release into Jira
When working with Productboard and Jira, admins and editors can push a release into Jira. With the push of a button, Productboard can push an entire release into Jira, even syncing your releases to your fix versions if desired.
For more information, see the article Pushing a release into Jira
Automatically update a Productboard feature status based on a Jira issue status
The Jira status automation sync allows you to easily track from Productboard what is happening across your delivery teams. Making it easier for you to keep your stakeholders aligned.
