Step 1: Create a new Zap
First, create a Zap:
- Log in to Zapier.

Step 2: Set up the trigger
Next, hook the Zap into Productboard so it can trigger properly:
- In the Trigger section, select Productboard as the app.
- Choose New Note as the trigger event.
- Connect your Productboard account if you haven't already.
-
Test the trigger to ensure it captures a new note correctly.
Step 3: Set up the action
Now create the event that fires in response to the trigger:
- In the Action section, select Slack as the app.
-
Choose Send Channel Message as the action event and click Continue.
Step 4: Configure the Slack message
Next, compose the message you want to see when you receive the notification:
- Select the Slack channel where you want to receive the notifications.
-
In the Message Text field, map the relevant information from the Productboard note (e.g., title, content).
Step 5: Finalize and Publish
Finally, publish the Zap:
- Set the additional options (e.g., bot name, emoji) as needed. In most cases, you can select No for optional questions.
-
Once configured, click Publish to activate your Zap.
