Is Productboard compliant with GDPR?

What is GDPR?

The European Commission approved and adopted the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is the biggest change in data protection laws in Europe since the 1995 introduction of the European Union (EU) Data Protection Directive, also known as Directive 95/46/EC or simply the Directive. The GDPR aims to strengthen the security and protection of personal data in the EU and replaces the Directive and all local laws relating to it.

Productboard’s GDPR Commitment

We are committed to our customers’ success, including compliance with the GDPR and EU Data Protection laws in general, and our updated Privacy Policy demonstrates our commitment.

We have also appointed a representative in the European Union in accordance with Article 27 of GDPR: It is our subsidiary in the Czech Republic, productboard s.r.o., and it can be contacted at gdpr@productboard.com.

Similar to existing privacy laws, compliance with the GDPR requires a partnership between Productboard and our customers in your use of our services. Productboard affirms its commitment to comply with the provisions of the GDPR in the delivery of our service to our customers. We have closely analyzed the requirements of the GDPR, and have made enhancements to our products and processes to support compliance with this regulation.

Data Processing Agreement

We updated our Terms of Service to incorporate our Data Processing Agreement (DPA).

If you prefer to have a separate, explicitly signed Data Processing Agreement, it is available for your e-signature here:

Please fill out the name and email of your signer and proceed to e-sign. We will then counter-sign and DocuSign will automatically send you the fully executed agreement for your records.

To allow transfers of personal data from EU member countries to Productboard, we have incorporated Standard Contractual Clause into our Data Processing Agreement. It means that the data transfer to Productboard is GDPR compliant even after the Court of Justice of the European Union invalidated the EU-US Privacy Shield.
