Is it possible to add customers who provided insights into features from a different source to the portal notifications?

Yes! When composing the update, you can notify customers who have provided feedback from other sources by clicking the Notification-1.svg icon and selecting Notify users who have voted for or have insights linked to this feature.

Can customers see all the feedback submitted on a portal card?

No, customers will only see the number of people who voted on a card but not the feedback others provided.

For more information, see Use the Portal to share your plans and collect feedback at scale.

Are portals searchable by customers?

Yes, when your customers view your portal, they can search for features and provide direct feedback on that portal card.

For more information, see Use the Portal to share your plans and collect feedback at scale.

Can I customize my portal colors?

Yes! Open your Portal settings and click on the Theme tab. From here, you can customize the colors for:

  • The font.
  • The primary UI buttons.
  • Card backgrounds.
  • The entire portal background.

Can I increase the vote count of a card on a portal?

Not really. A portal card's vote count represents the number of external stakeholders who have voted on a specific portal card. It is not meant to represent the aggregated stakeholder interest in a feature across all channels (that's what Customer Importance Score is for).

Therefore, the only way to increase the vote count on a portal card is to submit feedback on that card from an external source, as opposed to from within your Productboard workspace.

This can only be done by accessing a portal via public or private link, or accessing a portal that has been embedded into an external-facing app or web page, and submitting feedback there.

If, for some reason, you wanted to increase the vote count of a portal card, you would have to:

  1. Open the portal's Share menu and ensure it's accessible by public link, private link, or by being embedded somewhere.
  2. Go to the embedded location, or copy the public or private link into your web browser and go there.
  3. Click on a portal card to open its feedback menu.
  4. Fill out the feedback form and submit it.
  5. Validate your email address.

This will increase the vote count by one. If you want to increase it again, you'd need to use a different email address, as subsequent feedback submitted by the same email address for the same portal card does not impact that card's vote count (because it's not actually counting votes, it's counting people).
