There are a lot of product development methodologies, and they don't all share the same terms. For example, what we here at Productboard call 'features', you might call 'epics'. When our terminology doesn't match yours, it can cause friction during onboarding and cross-functional collaboration.
To minimize this friction, you can change the names of certain entity types in your Productboard workspace to match your terminology.

Item types eligible for renaming
This table describes which item types can and cannot be renamed:
Renaming item types
If you would like to rename item types in your workspace, please contact either:
- Your Productboard representative, if you have one; OR
- Productboard support by emailing support@productboard.com.
The renaming process is not yet accessible in Productboard. Tell us what you'd like changed and we'll handle it for you!
