How to duplicate an item

To duplicate an item:

  1. Click on the item to open its detail sidebar.
  2. Click the ••• More actions button and select Duplicate

  3. A confirmation window will appear, listing all the data that won't be duplicated along with the item. If you wish to duplicate child items, make sure to check the relevant box.
  4. Click Duplicate [item].

Duplication behaviors

When you duplicate an item, the duplicate retains much of the original's data, including field values and relationships to other items (for example, a duplicated feature will be assigned to the same objectives as the original feature).

Fields and data which will not be duplicated include dependencies, portal information, comments, integration links, and history. Specific exceptions will be noted in the window that appears when you confirm a duplication.

When you duplicate an item that can have subordinate items, you'll be asked whether you want to duplicate its children as well. If you decide to duplicate children, all children and grandchildren of the original item will be duplicated. For example, if you duplicate a product and its children, you'll wind up with duplicates of all subordinate components, features, and subfeatures.
