Productboard now supports AI capabilities for auto-generating various types of product documents, like PRDs, product briefs and one-pagers, strategy docs, and competitive analyses. You can insert this AI-generated content into a document to collaborate with colleagues and edit further.
Moving forward, Productboard will support additional templates to help you get started faster. You can also look forward to AI that’s even better equipped to factor in information specific to your product and customer feedback in the documents it generates.

Getting started with AI Chat for Documents
Before you can use AI Chat for Documents, you must consent to using AI in your workspace. An admin can do this by going to the Main menu > Settings and clicking Consent to AI.
Once you've consented:
- Open a new or existing document.
- In the top right corner, click the Productboard AI button.
- Select the type of document you’d like Productboard AI to generate.
- Enter a prompt to specify additional information about your desired document and press Enter/Return or click the arrow to submit.
- (Optional) You can enhance the AI-generated document by submitting one or more follow-up prompts to provide additional details or to redirect the AI.
- Insert the generated content into your doc where you can collaborate with colleagues to modify it further.
